IAF to carry out aerial salute to frontline COVID workers

SHILLONG: As a gesture of respect and gratitude towards the frontline workers – doctors, nurses, paramedics, sanitation staff, police, delivery boys and the media, the IAF and its allied forces will carry out an aerial salute on Sunday morning across a considerable number of towns and cities between 10am to 11am.

Helicopters will shower petals over hospitals treating COVID-19 patients, several coast guard ships will also be illuminated at different locations.

In Shillong, flower petals will be showered over Bethany Hospital, NEIGRIHMS and Civil Hospital between 10am and 10:30am.
