NONGSTOIN: The staff of State Bank of India, Nongstoin Branch distributed essentials to around 50 households in Nongstoin and Rambrai area.
“Families which have been assessed by the village headman and poor families will receive the essential commodities” Alok Chaudhuri, Chief Manager, SBI said.
They are not our customers, but it is our duty to help those in need in this time of crisis, he added.
Alok also said that all bank employees of SBI in the country have donated to the PM Relief Fund and the help for locals is part of their contribution along with the staff of Lead Bank.
