GUWAHATI: As many as 3679 citizens of Nagaland, currently outside the state, have till date availed of a one-time assistance provided by the state government and decided to stay back at their respective places during the lockdown, an official statement issued on Saturday said.
The Nagaland government had launched the scheme on May 13 to encourage citizens stranded outside the state to remain at their respective places.
Under the scheme, applicants are required to submit relevant documents and fill up a form on the portal iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in for availing a one-time assistance of Rs 10,000.
Till Saturday evening, 1314 stranded people have arrived in Nagaland from other Northeastern states.
So far, 891 of the 917 samples sent for testing from the state till date have tested negative. Twenty five samples have been tested by TrueNat machines in the state and all of them have tested negative.
As many as 3943 have been screened so far and 1074 are under facility quarantine at present, a statement from the state home department said.
