Woman accused of murdering husband
Balginia Diamai lodged a complaint that on May 15 night, Anthony Jone Mawlong murdered her husband namely Phait Swer in their residence at Thieddieng village (East Khasi Hills).

Miscreants set huts on fire
Nongrum, Sordar, Shnat Raid Tynring lodged a complaint that on the night of April 24, miscreants set fire to two huts belonging to Shiningstar Lating and Shantilang Nongrum at Wah Mawkynring, Shnat Raid Tynring (East Khasi Hills).

Goons attack two men, 1 critically injured
J Tariang lodged a complaint that on May 13 around 3.30 pm, while he along Kyrsiew Kharbithai, Wahehshnong of Maskut, were proceeding towards their village, in their vehicle (ML-05S-6715), four persons identified as Mahwel Slong, Sunday Slong, Pynyoo Phawa and others, armed with lethal objects came in a Maruti van (number not known), blocked the road at Wahumsohthat under Elaka Maskut and they assaulted them.
However, the complainant managed to escape, but Kharbithai fell victim to the assailants and was badly assaulted, causing injuries to him.
Earlier, on May 12, the same accused persons had threatened the complainant and Kharbithai with dire consequences.

Fraud transaction
On May 16, Jatider Kumar lodged a complaint that between April 28 and May 9, unknown persons fraudulently withdrew Rs 4 lakh from his account at different locations including Mumbai and Noida.

Man creates ruckus
On May 14 around 2 pm, Rishad Suchen created nuisance under influence of alcohol at Umsyiem village, picked up quarrel with his elder brother and also threatened the VDP members.

Over Rs 1 lakh cash, 10 mobiles stolen
M Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on May 11 around 9.30 pm, miscreants broke into his shop at Phramer (West Jaintia Hills) and stole cash Rs 1,65,200 and 10 mobile phones valued around Rs 13,000.

Fertilisers destroyed
W Nongrum, Sordar of Shnat Raid Tynring lodged a complaint that on May 5, miscreants sprayed/mixed salt with bio-fertilisers at Lumsymnnah village, Shnat Raid Tynring (East Khasi Hills) and rendered the fertilisers useless.
