SHILLONG: With the lockdown getting stretched across the country, people have been hit hard by boredom, with many running out of options to spend their time constructively at home. Well, not anymore. RAC Store, a unit of CR Projects, is presenting ‘Stories of the Hearth’ an initiative by The Hillspeople Collective that seeks to engage people from all walks of life and challenge them to produce a short film but with the limitation of ”only using their own homes as a setting” for their films owing to the unprecedented situation. There will be two categories — mobile and professional — with cash prizes worth Rs 25,000. The message can be conveyed either in Khasi, Garo, English or Hindi and should ideally focus on the theme ‘lockdown’. Entries will be accepted from May 21 onward while the last dates of entry have been fixed for June 6. The entries can be forwarded to [email protected]. It may be mentioned that no fee will be charged during the entry.
