Wine shops, bonded warehouses to remain open

Shillong: In an order issued on Friday by the Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills, wine shops and bonded warehouses in the district will open in selected locations from May 25 to 30 from 9 am to 4 pm daily.
The order stated that only wine stores and bonded warehouses in listed areas can open on the mentioned days and timings while wine stores located close to areas with high transmission risk are asked to remain shut.
Sale of liquor is also capped to three litres of foreign liquor or wine and four litres of beer, per customer. Shop owners need to ensure social distancing and other guidelines.
