PHCs, CHCs in GH without ambulance

SHILLONG: The Garo Students’ Union (GSU) Central Executive Committee, Tura has urged the state government to provide ambulance to the CHCs and PHCs in Garo Hills.
The GSU on Monday said that the union in collaboration with other organisations and the general public want to draw your attention to the grievances faced by the people of the Garo Hills region as some Community Health Centres do not have ambulance service.The health centres running without ambulance are Resubelpara, Dadenggre, Chokpot, Dalu, Selsela, Rongjeng, Pulbari, Raksamgri PHCs. The GSU also informed that the Ampati Civil Hospital has insufficient number of ambulance for the emergency operational services for medical team.
