HANM against outside labour

SHILLONG: Unhappy with the decision of the government to allow import of skilled workers from outside, the Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) East Jaintia Hills on Tuesday said that the Deputy Chief Minister should be specific on the kind of highly skilled work that the locals are incapable of.
In a statement issued here, the organisation said that the state government should not allow any outsider to enter the state as it may lead to chaos and disorder.
The association also criticised the government for ignoring the hardships of the people of the state, asserting that the government should not allow outsiders into the state.
