Two-wheeler stolen
NONGSTOIN: A two-wheeler (ML 05N-2150) belonging to the personal assistant (PA) of Rambrai Jyrngam MDC, Bajop Pyngrope, was stolen from Tiehsaw, Nongstoin in West Khasi Hills District. The miscreants stole the bike from the residence of the PA. An FIR was registered at Nongstoin Police Station in this regard.

Death condoled
SHILLONG: The R&R Colony Welfare Society, the R&R Colony Saradiya Utsav Samity and residents of the locality condoled the demise of Ex-Asst. Headmaster of Dr Radhakrishnan Boys Secondary School, Himangshu Shekhar Chakraborty, in a meeting on June 9. A one-minute silence was also observed during the gathering.

SBI donates PPE kits
SHILLONG: The State Bank of India (SBI), administrative office, handed over a total of 400 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Monday in order to express its solidarity with the state in the fight against COVID-19. In a statement, the deputy general manager of SBI, Shillong Module, Subhas Das, said that the kits are meant for use by various government hospitals.
