Rice donation for stranded migrants

NONGSTOIN: Migrant workers as well as stranded persons will be given rice and pulses, which were released for the month of May and June under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Scheme, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of West Khasi Hills informed.
The commodities will be distributed by government nominee F Marngar at the respective workplace and factories between June 18 and 20 in Shallang, and on June 22 in Nongstoin from 9 am till 4 pm.
A total of 5 kg of rice per month will be given to one person. Meanwhile, 1 kg of pulses per household per month will be provided.
The beneficiaries will have to produce a copy of their identity proof (EPIC, PAN card, Aadhar, etc) and adhere to all health protocols before collecting the foodgrains.
