TURA: The Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Dadenggre has directed the VEC Secretaries of Nayagaon, Asikandi and Rajpur (Muslim), all under Demdema Block in West Garo Hills to provide certain details with regard to their functioning.
The order issued by the SDO sought whether wage money is being transferred to the bank accounts of beneficiaries via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and if not the reasons for its non-implementation. The order also sought information on what steps are being taken towards the same.
As per the order, the VEC secretaries are to submit the sought information with proper documentation on or before June 26.
The Block Development Officer of the concerned block has also been intimated to ensure that the VEC officials comply with the order.
