GHADC MDCs’ portfolios reshuffled

TURA: The portfolios of the MDCs of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) have been reshuffled by Chief Executive Member (CEM), Dipul R Marak.

Silkigre MDC, Augustine R Marak who currently holds the post of Chairman of the High Power Committee has been given additional charge as the Chairman of the Cotton Growers Association. Two other MDCs have been elevated to the post of Chairman of respective departments. While MDC Righteous N Sangma has been given the post of Chairman of Planning, MDC Rupert M Sangma will be looking after the Resource Mobilisation department as Chairman.

Deputy Chief Executive Member (Dy CEM), Dolly K Sangma has been given the charge of Coal market and Banana market in addition to Civil Works and parliamentary Affairs while Samandagre MDC, Brilliant R Sangma will look after Cattle market, Feeding, Grazing Field in addition to Land and Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Inter-State Boundary dispute matters and Land Acquisition.

Haats, Customs and Usages have been given to Barengapara MDC, Kurosh M Marak, Transport and Printing Press to Kharkutta MDC, Smith Momin, Taxation to Gasuapara MDC Devier Sangma and Rural Development and Resource Mobilization to Zikzak MDC Bhupendra B Hajong.

The remaining portfolios which were not allotted to any of the executive members are to be looked after by CEM, Dipul R Marak himself.
