Biswajit Barman has been awarded PhD in Physics by the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, for his thesis ‘Preparation and characterization of mixed metal sulfide thin films for photosensor applications’ under the guidance of Prof. Kasturi V Bangera. He is a postdoctoral scientist in the Material Science and Engineering department at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He is the son of Binoy Krishna Barman and Chandana Barman, hailing from Mahendraganj, South West Garo Hills.
