SHILLONG/TURA: Students of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School have grabbed most of the top ranksas MBoSE has declared results of science and commerce streams of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSSLC) on Thursday.
Students of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School secured all 10 positions in the Science stream and eight positions in the Commerce stream barring the 3rd and 6th positions.
Kumar Ayan Sharma was the lone candidate from Garo Hills’ Don Bosco College, Tura who bagged the third position in the Commerce stream with 439 marks while the 6th position was bagged by Ajay Dkhar of Khliehriat Higher Secondary School.
The other toppers in the Commerce stream included Komal Sharma (1st), Vinod Prajapat (2nd), Pradeep Sharma (4th), Sukanya Pradhan (5th), Emika Rachele Nongkynrih (7th), Dipshikha Das (9th) and Puja Ojha (10th) all from St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School. The 8th position was shared by Varsha Agarwal (St Anthony’s) and Prasanta Karki of Gorkha Patsala Higher Secondary School, Shillong.
In the Science stream, the toppers were Kaustab Choudhury (1st), Anirban Das and Disha Chakraborty (2nd), Al Amin Miah (3rd), Bevan Alesanlang Nongbri (4th) all From St Anthony’s, Rituraj Deb of Laban Bengalee Boys’ HS School, Shillong and Ishanee Chaterjee of St Anthony’s (5th), Shaiborlang Nongbri (6th), Hoihneiniang Hangnung (7th), Wankerlang Sohtun (8th), Amit Kumar Rai (9th) and Bikash Barman (10th)- all from St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School.
In the Garo Hills district-wise pass percentage in the Commerce Stream are: East Khasi Hills-78.71, West Khasi Hills-88, Ri-Bhoi-85.37, West Garo Hills-62.04, East Garo Hills-96, South West Khasi Hills-54.17, West Jaintia Hills-63.76 and East Jaintia Hills-89.55.
In the science stream district-wise the pass percentage are: East Khasi Hills-80.83, West Khasi Hills-79.23, Ri-Bhoi-82.50, West Garo Hills-54.41, East Garo HIlls-55.74, South Garo Hills-80, South West Khasi Hills-64.18, West Jaintia Hills-62.64, East Jaintia Hills-64.29, North Garo Hills-39.74 and South West Garo Hills-84.21.
