Police close down 5 shops in Shillong for violating COVID protocols

SHILLONG: In a surprise check conducted by the Magistrate and police officials at Madanrting and Happy Valley area, 5 shops were closed down for violating the COVID-19 protocols  and 10 people were imposed with penalty for not wearing masks in public place.
Taxi drivers and drivers of commercial vehicles were issued with stern warning for violating protocols and for not wearing masks.
