TURA: Alleging illegal appointment of non-indigenous people, the A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM), Phulbari Regional Unit, has submitted a complaint to the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, seeking the latter’s intervention.
The AHAM alleged illegal appointment without the approval of the District Selection Committee (DSC) at two health centres under Phulbari and Chibinang.
In its complaint, the AHAM claimed that while two casual workers, one dresser and one grade IV were appointed at the Phulbari CHC, a driver and an LDA has been appointed at Chibinang PHC without any kind of selection process.
It also said the illegal appointment has violated the Meghalaya Job Reservation Policy of 1972.
Meanwhile, in a separate letter to the Chief Executive Engineer of the PWD, the movement has sought the immediate reconstruction of the deplorable portion of the Phulbari-Chibinang PWD Road.
