SHILLONG: A six-year-old child has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the city, making her the youngest COVID patient in the state.
Health and Family Welfare Minister, AL Hek said the minor is a contact of the Greenwood Resort wedding group.
He informed that the child was asymptomatic and was being treated at home. However, other family members have tested negative.
The house has been sealed and health workers have been monitoring the condition of the minor, Hek added.
