MLA plea to wealthy residents

SHILLONG: Opposition Chief Whip and Congress legislator P T Sawkmie has urged the wealthy residents in the state to donate to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
He also said instead of organising wedding parties, the rich can use the same amount in helping the needy. “I appeal to the rich to donate to the CM’s relief fund rather than spending the money unnecessarily”, he said.
