WKH to brace for more rain

NONGSTOIN: Thunderstorms accompanied by heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to hit West Khasi Hills from July 22 to 24, whilst light to moderate rainfall is likely at isolated places.
In view of the weather warning, the District Disaster Management Authority has urged all the District Incident Response Teams, all Block Development Officers, line departments in the district and sub-divisions to remain alert and monitor the situation in their areas regularly and take appropriate precautionary steps.
Situation report in this regard will be submitted regularly to the District EOC, State EOC and NDMA Control Room.
