Lockdown in Shillong from midnight of July 26 to midnight July 29

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Government has decided to reimpose lock down in Shillong agglomeration from the midnight of July 26 to the midnight of July 29 in view of spike in COVID-19 positive cases in the area
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that if the situation worsens,the Government may extend the lock down further.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya government has declared several areas in Shillong as containment zones. The areas include Mawbah, Jhalupara,  Upper Mawprem, Nongrah,  Mawlai Umshing, Nongrim Hills, Lachumiere ,Laitumkhrah Nazareth, Mawlai  Umjaiur and Golflink Khkiehshnon
