Man drowns in Tura waterfall

TURA: A 21-year-old man lost his life after drowning at Pelga Dare falls on the outskirts of Tura on Thursday.
According to police, the victim, identified as Nifa D Marak, resident of Dakopgre’s Ira Dighi area, was on a visit to the waterfall with friends when he reportedly fell and got carried away by the powerful current of the waterfall.
In spite of a frantic search by locals and those at the spot, the victim could not be found.  Police teams with divers from the fire and emergency service alongside state disaster rescue force have been pressed into service to try and retrieve the body of the victim.
