OPD of Jowai hospital closed after COVID-19 positive woman gives birth

JOWAI:  The Outpatient Department (OPD) of Jowai Civil Hospital was shut indefinitely after a COVID-19 tested woman had delivered a twin there. The doctors and other staff who helped the woman during delivery have undergone quarantine as per protocols.

Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr R Pohrmen informed that the indoor services I the hospital would continue.
