TURA: West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ràm Singh has directed the BDOs of Demdema and Selsella blocks to file FIRs against the erring VEC secretaries uñder their respective blocks.
It may be mentioned that earlier, several complaints were raised against certain vec secretaries alleging them of misusing funds in the name of deceased job card holders.
In an order issued recently, the DC directed the immediate filing of FIRs against all such tainted vec secretaries and presidents as well as issuing show cause notices to technical assistants for turning a blind eye to the illegal activities.
