Plaint against tainted VEC heads
TURA: West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh, has directed the BDOs of Demdema and Selsella blocks to file complaints against the erring VEC secretaries under their respective blocks. Several complaints were raised against certain VEC secretaries accusing them of misusing funds in the name of deceased job card holders. In an order, the DC Singh directed the immediate filing of FIRs against all such tainted VEC secretaries and presidents as well as issuing show cause notices to technical assistants for turning a blind eye to the illegal activities.

Doorstep delivery of PDS quota
AMPATI: In view of the monsoon season, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of South West Garo Hills has directed the PDS wholesale dealers of South West Garo Hills to deliver the quota of ‘chana’ whole under PMGKAY scheme for July, August and September at the doorstep of the fair price shop dealers. On receipt of the quota, the fair price shop dealers have been directed to distribute them to the beneficiaries without any delay.
