6 more due of COVID-19 in Assam, 2679 news cases detected

GUWAHATI: Six more COVID-19 patients died in Assam today taking the death toll up to 132 while 2679 new cases were detected out of 58531 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

Positivity rate continues to be low at 4.57%. Out of the new cases 442 are in Kamrup (M), 265 are in Kamrup (R), 250 in Cachar and 172 in Nagaon.

On the other hand 1585 patients were recovered from the deceased today.

“Six more COVID patients succumbed to their infections today – Late Praban Kumar Agarwala (57) of Dhubri, Late Sita Devi (56) of Kokrajhar, Late Renu Gogoi (60) of Dibrugarh, Late Samar Deb (61) of Cachar, Late Abdul Gofur (68) of Nagaon and Late Nilmani Chakraborty (69) of Kamrup (M),” tweeted the Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
