Actor Anthony Anderson, best known for the hit series “Blackish”, was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a day before his 50th birthday.
Anderson also became the first person to receive a star in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. The actor, who turned a year older on Saturday, shared pictures from the ceremony alongside his family and friends on Instagram. Anderson said getting a star on the prestigious Walk of Fame was a testament that “dreams do come true”. “Today was a GREAT day! Dreams do come true! Those dreams are made possible thru faith, hard work, patience and sacrifice! (sic)” he wrote. The Los Angeles native also thanked his family, friends and fans for being a part of his journey thus far. “Tighten your seatbelts cause we are about to take a wild ride! Thank you to my family, friends and fans for this is just as much yours as it is mine!” he added. In one of the photos, the actor’s family is seen wearing custom masks with Anderson’s smile and beard, keeping the pandemic in mind. Actors George Lopez and Don Cheadle also attended the ceremony.
