TURA: Two men who stand accused of raping a minor girl in the plain belt region of West Garo Hills have gone into hiding after an FIR was lodged with the police.
The accused men, allegedly former members of a local social organization from the area, took advantage of the minor girl by luring her away to a secluded spot where they committed the crime on Thursday night.
They fled their homes after word reached them about the victim’s family approaching the police.
The victim reportedly suffered severe injuries to her body and has been shifted to Tura for medical treatment.
