Containment tag lifted from Shallang market

NONGSTOIN/SHILLONG: The containment order issued for Shallang market was on Thursday lifted by Sub-Divisional Officer of Mawshynrut Civil Sub-Division, PD Sangma, and the market is all set to resume functioning.
Stating that the random testing would continue in the area, Sangma exhorted one and all to strictly adhere to health protocols.
He also said that on Wednesday, a police personnel of Mawlangkona had tested positive for COVID, following which has was quarantined at a multi-facility centre in Malangkona.

Meanwhile, the East Khasi Hills District Administration has directed B Collection Store at GS Road to temporarily remain shut until further orders.
