MTET qualified urge govt for early appointment

NONGPOH: Members of the Meghalaya Teachers Eligibility Test (MTET) Qualified Teachers on Tuesday urged the State Government to expedite the process for appointment of MTET qualified teachers in various schools of the State to improve the education system.

Sylvester Mawthoh, spokesperson of MTET Qualified Teachers, Meghalaya also said that the Government should not regularise or recruit teachers who have not met the criteria as per the Education Department notification dated July 1, 2020, No.EDN,.190/2011/Pt/333  as MTET is compulsory for a person to be eligible for appointment as elementary teachers in Class I to VIII.
