SHILLONG: Former MLA from Jaintia Hills, Simon Siangshai, passed away at a private Hospital in the city on Friday.
Simon Siangshai was an MDC for two terms while he was also an MLA for three terms representing Rymbai areas, which is now known as Khliehriat constituency.
Meanwhile, Opposition Chief Whip, PT Sawkmie, has condoled the death of the veteran leader. Recalling that he had worked with Siangshai in the late 80s, Sawkmie said that he learnt many technicalities of politics from the veteran leader.
