NGEA seeks NITI Aayog help

TURA: The authorities of the GHADC are facing the heat over allegations of central funds misappropriation with the Non Gazetted Employees Association (NGEA) of the Council apprising the Niti Aayog of widespread misappropriation of crores of rupees given by the Centre to the Council for developmental projects.
After receiving a complaint from the employees’ union, Niti Aayog authorities have written to the Ministry of DoNER seeking inquiry into the allegations levelled by the union.
“The undersigned is directed to enclose herewith the public grievance received from Joint Secretary of NGEA, GHADC, with request to examine matter and intimate action taken directly to the complainant,” wrote Niti Aayog section officer, N Chandra, to Nehjamang Simte, deputy director of CPGRAMS, Ministry of Development of North Eastern States (DONER), Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The NGEA of GHADC, in its letter to Niti Aayog, had requested not to sanction financial assistance to GHADC for implementation of various projects in the area under the Sixth Schedule.
It has also sought an inquiry with regard to non-implementation of schemes sanctioned by the Union Ministry of Finance.
