Legal literacy campaign ends

KHLIEHRIAT: The awareness programme organised by Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA) in collaboration with the Department of Justice in East Jaintia Hills from September 16 concluded on Tuesday with programmes being held in the areas adjoining the district headquarters, Khliehriat.
The programme aimed at making justice accessible to all besides making people aware about the relevant social and legal issues.
Awareness was disseminated on POCSO Act, 2012, COVID-19, the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, and Legal Services in 11 villages under Khliehriat and Saipung C&RD blocks.
