Meghalaya COVID update: 1977 active cases, 43 deaths

SHILLONG: In the wake of detection of 124 new COVID19 positive cases, recovery of 199 more patients and one more deaths, the total number of active COVID19 cases in Meghalaya has gone up to 1977 as on date, according to information provided by the State Health Department.

So far, 3058 persons have recovered from the virus infection in the state while 43 persons have succumbed to the disease in the state till now.

Out of the newly-detected COVID19 positive cases in the state 1395 are in East Khasi Hills district, 275 in East Jaintia Hills, 158 in Ri Bhoi district, 85 in West Garo Hills, 12 in South West Gao Hills and 16 in North Garo Hills.
