GUWAHATI: Former Assam Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi’s health condition has shown improvement. Eighty-five-year-old Gogoi was admitted to the ICU in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here on Thursday after he oxygen saturation level had shown downward trend.
State Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the team of doctors attending Tarun Gogoi today had a video conference with the Director of AIIMS, New Delhi, Randeep Guleria and a made a presentation on line of treatment the team has adopted.
“The AIIMS director while expressing satisfaction over the line of treatment prescribed for a few other tests for Tarun Gogoi. The AIIMS Director also promised that he would send a faculty from AIIMS in a day or two to examine Sri Gogoi. Tarun Gogoi’s son and MP Gaurav Gogoi was also present during the video conference along with me and Principal Secretary, Health,” Dr Sarma said.
The former Chief Minister had tested COVID positive earlier this month and was treated in the GMCH and released after he had tested negative.
