SHILLONG: Just a day after South West Khasi Hills district administration debunked the claims of explosion in the uranium effluent tank at Nongbah Jynrin in the district, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday reiterated the same.
Conrad said the state government had informed the South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner and the UCIL on the first day itself when the reports started coming with regard to the purported explosion.
According to Conrad, after the deputy superintendent of police went to the site for inspection, the government was informed that there was neither such leakage nor explosion or exposure.
