SHILLONG: Regional PF Commissioner, Shillong, KK Srivastava, has requested employers to send pension papers to the EPFO office as part of the PRAYAAS initiative.
In a statement issued here, he said as part of ‘PRAYAAS’ initiative, EPFO, Shillong has started sending letters to various employers whose employees are attaining 58 years of age within three months with a request to submit their pension claims to PF Office, Shillong, at least two months before attaining 58 years of age so that the EPFO, Shillong, can prepare their pension papers on time and hand them over to concerned employees on date of superannuation (i.e. attaining 58 years of age).
He also said that emails have been sent to all employers in this regard and the EPFO, Shillong, has also uploaded the information on its official WhatsApp numbers.
Srivastava has further urged various employers, who were eligible for PMGKY benefits and have not submitted/uploaded ECR from March’2020 to August’2020, to upload it immediately. He has also suggested employers to update Form 5A with the bank account along with cancelled cheque along with their benefits to get PMGKY benefits.
