Technocrat posted as MPSC chief

SHILLONG: The state government has appointed a new chairman of MPSC in Paul Reader Marwein, former Secretary PWD and who also held the post of Chief Engineer, PWD.
Official sources said Marwein, who was due to retire in January next, took voluntary retirement making him the first technocrat to hold this critical post in an organisation which has been mired in intermittent controversies of various kinds.
