Free distribution of deworming tablets

MAWKYRWAT: Deworming tablets will be distributed free of cost at session sites and Anganwadi Centers in South West Khasi Hills as part of the programme on National Deworming Day from October 12 to 19, which will be organised by the office of the District Medical & Health Officer (DM&HO), South West Khasi Hills.
The programme is aimed at helping children between 1 and 19 years of age to become worm-free.
The DM&HO called upon parents, caregivers, community leaders, teachers, Anganwadi workers and other frontline health workers to actively participate in the programme.
