No mass on All Souls Day

SHILLONG: In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on large gatherings, the Parish Pastoral Council of the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians has informed that there will be no public mass at the Catholic cemetery, Laitumkhrah, on November 2, which is observed as All Souls Day.
In a statement issued here, the general secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, Barnabas Nongbah, informed that personal visits to the cemetery will be allowed from October 14 to November 1 from 7 am to 4 pm subject to following all health practices.
Nongbah said entry to the cemetery will not be allowed on November 2.
