1 killed in WKH road mishap

NONGSTOIN, Nov 24: In a road mishap on Monday, a car dashed the rock at Umthlong village in West Khasi Hills which killed one of its occupants on the spot while another person sustained grievous injuries.
According to Police, the car (AS 01 M 9372) was proceeding toward Tynghor downhill from Langja circa 1:30 pm when it crashed on the rock along the road.
The deceased has been identified as Sevenbright Khardiengdoh (26) of Nongjyllieh. His body was sent to Nongstoin CH for autopsy. During inquiry, it was learnt that the vehicle was driven by Bilostar Snar (22) of Mawmareh village, who was severely injured and later shifted to Nongstoin Civil Hospital.
