Assault
Samien J Diengdoh lodged a complaint that on December 3, around 10.30 pm, while he was dropping his friend to Wards Lake, Shillong, a Hyundai i-10 Grand car stopped in front of his car following which one Grandy Pyngrope Myrchiang and his friend assaulted the complainant. They also threatened the complainant and his brother with dire consequences.
Extortion
On November 28, around 6 am, driver of a Maruti van (ML-08A-6407) Baldano R Marak (24) of Upper Chandmari, Tura, along with Bino Ch Momin (24) Lower Chandmari, Tura, threatened vegetable vendors at Chandmari Weekly Market with dire consequences and extorted a money amounting Rs 2,200.
Threatened
Anush M Sangma of Chandmari, Tura, lodged a complaint that on November 29, 4-5 persons from Kilman Gittim A’king illegally entered his work site and threatened the workers to burn down machinery.
Bike stolen
On December 4, around 9.30 am, one Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle (ML-05U-6179) belonging to Provin Gurung was reported missing from Lumpyngngad Motinagar Parking Lot, Shillong.
Theft
Dasuklang Pyngrope lodged a complaint that on December 3, around 12.30 pm, miscreants stole Rs 1,85,000 in cash, which was kept in his scooty (ML-05T-2418) parked near the Chief Minister’s Bungalow, Shillong.
Sukhdeb Bordoloi lodged a complaint that on November 25, miscreants stole ‘DG Battery’ from HDFC Bank Laitumkhrah Branch, Shillong.
Cattle missing
Inspector PK Dhara, Coy Commander, 97 Bn BSF, lodged a complaint that on December 1, while two BSF personnel were grazing 36 heads of cattle at a place under Ratacherra BOP in East Jaintia Hills, three numbers of cattle were found missing.
