Shullai lets Hek to serve full term as minister

SHILLONG: Ending the year-long uncertainty on the sharing of the ministerial berth BJP MLA, Sanbor Shullai on Tuesday made it clear that he has decided to let health minister (another BJP MLA) A L Hek to continue as the minister for the entire term of the MDA government.

In line with this Shullai also sent a letter to the BJP national president JP Nadda. Speaking to newsmen Shullai said that Hek has been instrumental in shaping the BJP in Meghalaya and has been working tirelessly for the party to grow, hence it is in the best interest of the Party that he continues as the minister till the full term of this Govt.

Meanwhile, visibly happy, Hek said that they stand for the party and the people and will be working towards it. He also said that there was no pre-condition for Sanbor to take this decision.

It may be mentioned that earlier that there was agreement between the two minister to share the ministerial berth for two and half years each.
