Ardent to restart trademark campaign

SHILLONG, Dec 30: Former legislator Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit has urged upon the Khasi people to discuss important issues affecting tribal community rather than sidestepping them while asserting that unity is a necessity.Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Basaiawmoit said, “We need to address the crux of the problem and the people choose to not discuss it. We will call a spade a spade. We need to discuss real issues affecting our society”.
He said that the Khasi community needs to sort out issues and like-minded people should come together for the task.
Basaiawmoit, who started the “Iada Ia Ka Ri” (Protect The Land) movement this year, said that there should be a revolution on the social, economic and political front.
He informed that he will restart the campaign next year which came to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic and said that awareness should be disseminated to the people about the revolution.
