Dorbar warns litterers

JOWAI, Jan 6: In a bid to maintain cleanliness in and around Syntu Ksiar area, the Panaliar village Council has issued a stern warning to those littering, drinking and disposing of garbage along the street in the area.
Syntu Ksiar is a picnic spot with beautiful landscape, picturesque paddy fields, the Pynthor Wah valley and river Myntdu flowing through the valley, which attracts a number of tourists.
The general secretary of the Village Council, Careme Phawa, informed that a fine of Rs 10,000 will be imposed on violators, while cash reward will be given to informers.
He further urged the public to support the council’s decision and sought its cooperation to maintain the cleanliness.
