Ex-MLA’s demise condoled

SHILLONG, Jan 18: Shree Shree Madan Laban Nepali Durga Puja Committee has condoled the demise of former Congress legislator, Dhruba Nath Joshi, who passed away on January 11.
According to a statement on Sunday, a meeting was convened in this regard where members of the Committee paid tributes and recalled Joshi’s contributions towards various fields. “He maintained a very dedicated and simple life. The house felt that the void created due to his demise will be difficult to fill,” the statement said.
During the meeting, a two-minute silence was also observed.
