SHILLONG, Feb 9: The Meghalaya SSA School Association has urged upon Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui to update the salary structure besides enhancement of remuneration to SSA teachers working under the Samagra Siksha, within February 18.
In a memorandum to the Education Minister, the association said that the government re-examine the request for implementation of the salary structure and enhancement of salary of 5,814 Lower Primary and 6,727 Upper Primary teachers in the state.
The Association reminded the minister that the request was made in July 2020. However, it later learned that the government declined the request of the SSA teachers.
