Yogi assures seers of development
Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 14: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday met saints and seers in Vrindavan town and assured them of the development of the Braj region. “The government is working in tandem with the religious leaders for the development of this region. We will take this region to the global level,” he said while addressing saints. He said that after Independence, the governments had not worked for religious tourism. “The Kashi Vishwanath corridor work is being done under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj is another example of development of religious tourism. Ayodhya is also coming up as a world class city,” he said. (IANS)
Tutor held for injecting students
New Delhi, Feb 14: A 20-year-old tutor has been arrested by Delhi Police for administering NS solution to his students through injections. The police arrested the accused Sandeep, a BA 2nd year student who gives free classes to students of classes 6 to 9 in east Delhi’s Mandawali. The police said the matter came to light after one of the student’s parents saw their child taking injection at home and informed police. The inquiry revealed that the children were given NS (normal saline) solution by their tutor. “Sandeep said that he saw on YouTube that the memory of the children improves if NS solution is administered to them. An FIR has been registered in Mandawali police station. (IANS)
Kidnapper held
New Delhi, Feb 14: Delhi Police arrested a man for kidnapping a toddler, threatening his mother and rescued the 3.5-year child. The accused identified as Prahlad Thakur, neighbour of the woman, gave a threat call at around 5 p.m. on Friday that he will kill the two hours. The mother of the child informed the police after she received the call. A kidnapping case was registered at Bawana police station and soon teams were formed to arrest the kidnapper and rescue the child. The police team soon traced location of accused, near Chhatarpur, in South Delhi area around 50 km away from house of complainant. The team working on technical surveillance traced the location of accused and at about 7.15 p.m. rescued the child safely from road side near Chhatarpur Mandir and also apprehended the accused. “On interrogation, it has been revealed that the accused person is neighbour of complainant and is unmarried. He kidnapped the child to blackmail the mother of child. (PTI)
