Super Division Shillong Cricket League: Nongmensong CC win

SHILLONG, March 3: Nongmensong CC defeated United XI by 69 runs in a Super Division Shillong Cricket League match here at the NEPA grounds on Wednesday. United XI won the toss and put Nongmensong to bat first. Nongmensong scored 299 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 35 overs. Jaskirat Singh top scored for Nongmensong, scoring 95 runs off 82 balls. Roshan Warbah was the next highest scorer with 43 runs off 35 balls. Yogesh Tiwari (2/36) and Lokesh Turaha were the pick of the bowlers for United XI. In reply, United scoed 230 all out in 29.3 overs. Chaman Pusph top scored for United XI scoring 64 runs off 36 balls. Yogesh (37 runs off 29 balls) was the next hightest scorer for United. For Nongmensong, Bipin Kumar Ray scalped 3 wickets giving away 50 runs in 6 overs, while Roshan took 2 wicket giving away 42 runs in his 7 overs. Nongmensong’s Jaskirat, who also took 1 wicket, was adjudged the Man of the Match for his marvellous batting and bowling perfomances.
