Cops avert possible bid to blast toll plaza in WJH

SHILLONG, March 4: In what can be termed as a major warding off of a possible blast at the NHAI toll plaza located at 7th Mile, West Jaintia Hills, police teams detained two persons who were found in possession of five gelatines sticks, 10 detonators and fuse wire, allegedly transporting the items to blast the toll gate.
According to a statement, the team comprising East and West Jaintia Hills Police, during a joint operation, detected the consignment in Jowai on Wednesday. The two detained persons were caught by the police from Wahgate, Jowai.
Investigation into the matter is under way.
