The Arts & Culture department has notified the guidelines for financial assistance to authors under the scheme ‘Production of Folk Literature’. According to a statement on Saturday, the scheme is to motivate young and budding authors in the production of literary materials meant for the advancement of folk literature of Meghalaya in either Khasi or Garo languages. “Detailed information may be obtained from the Directorate of Arts & Culture, Shillong and at the District Arts & Culture offices,” the statement said.
